Story

For Jake Ian had never previously run a marathon when he somehow got himself entered into the Snowdon Marathon which can be seen as one of the toughest marathons in the UK. Ian did a brilliant job in both fundraising and running completing his first full marathon in a fantastic time of 3.37.06 whilst raising a grand total of £755 for the Meningitis Trust.

Snowdon 2012

15th October 2012
Less than 2 weeks to go now. Good luck to Ian and everyone else who will be running or supporting us. I am looking forward to having some special time out there on those hills with my son.

9 Weeks to go!

24th August 2012
Someone told me we only had 9 weeks to race day. Slightly worrying thought. Survived the Belper Rover but 25 minutes slower than hoped so a lot of progress needed these next 8 wees. Ian had a brilliant run at the Rover so looks to be in great shape.

In training

15th August 2012
This is set to be a great event with so many of us running or supporting. Big test this weekend for many of us with the Rover. I am hoping that we are all getting the training in and that any injuries will go away. Special thought for Coach Penny who needs a bit of good luck to get him back on track. The picture here is from 2006 and shows Tommo and Browny as they come over Llandberris Pass at 4 miles (just before Tommo stopped!) As Ian is volunteering to run this one for Jakes fund i hope that he has a great run and that everyone gets behind him and supports him. My aim is to get round and still be mobile at the end of the day!
